Allison Transmission 8000 and 9000 series are designed to meet the most demanding working conditions in various industries. They are used in vehicles equipped with engines up to 1 939 kW (2600 HP). Transission has 6 forward speeds and two reverse. These transmissions provide excellent durability, productivity and safety. The Allison 8000 & 9000 features an optional hydraulic retarder, two Power Take-Off (PTO) provisions and an optional provision for customer- supplied parking brakes.
